Mobile broadband vs mobile internet - which is the best?

We all have an endless thirst for online activities, from browsing the web to
social networking and emailing. Quite how you carry out these daily tasks has
become something of a challenge though, simply because there are now so
many different ways of staying connected. At one point in time you’d have only
had the basic option of a home computer to get online, but nowadays there are a
wealth of different ways of getting onto the web.

Now that we have a seemingly endless array of gadgets to choose from, all of
which allow you to connect to the internet, as well as mobile broadband that
delivers online access to a laptop, netbook or notebook device, we’re basically
spoilt for choice. Of course, there are pros and cons for going down both routes.
The gadget side of things is dominated by the smartphone, which is like an
amalgam of the best bits of a mobile phone with the choice features from a
computer.

Then there’s the laptop, netbook or notebook options to choose from, which by
using mobile broadband services will allow you to happily carry out most, if not
all, of the things you’d normally do on a computer in your home or workplace. A
smartphone makes definite sense if you’re looking for convenience on-the-go as
these handsets offer instant connectivity along with midget-sized web browsing,
emailing and all the rest of it. They even have a wealth of ‘apps’ that allow you to
carry out all manner of activities from gaming through to word processing.

A laptop or netbook connected to the web via mobile broadband will invariably
give you much more flexibility for working, and also surfing the web for fun.
You’ll get a larger screen area for starters, along with a bigger keyboard. The
trade-off will be the weight, as it’ll be heaver and a lot less portable, although
many of the new netbook and notebook devices are actually incredibly light.

Don’t forget to examine battery life for both smartphones and laptops though as
this can often be the make or break issue when you have no access to mains
electricity and need to get online while you’re out and about. Similarly, being able
to gain access to the internet on the move is also essential. Again, both laptops
and smartphones can also have issues with this too, although this is generally
down to the coverage supplied by mobile networks as much as anything.

There are also benefits and drawbacks with both smartphones and mobile
broadband services in terms of data allowances. Whatever package you decide
to go for you’ll generally find that accessing the internet on-the-go will have some
sort of restriction attached to it. This usually surrounds tranferring large amounts
of data, so if you’re planning on downloading a movie using either route then it’s
probably best done on a home-based broadband service and then copied onto
your chosen device afterwards.

Smartphones, alongside laptops with mobile broadband, are getting increasingly
plentiful and there’s a wealth of cheap deals doing the rounds. So, perhaps the
best advice is to get one of each, just as long as your wallet can stretch to it.

Avatar hottest Blu-ray seller ever

Avatar once more shocks the entertainment industry.The biggest cinema hit of all time Avatar is now become the hottest Blu-ray seller ever.Avatar sales reported more than doubled the record first day sales figures in the United States.That is outstanding achievement.

James Cameron’s Avatar creator can now smile for a 1.5 million copies sold upon its stateside launch date last Tuesday. Suprisingly twice as many as the 600,000 tallied by The Dark Knight movie Batman.

Avatar film had topped 2.7 million Blu-ray sales on Sunday, beating The Dark Knight’s total of 2.5 million. If you include regular DVD sales, that’s 6.7 million in total. This is all very impressive/confusing considering this particular edition is not in 3D and has absolutely no special features to speak of.

The high definition disc launched in the UK today, and is also expected to be the biggest Blu-ray seller in the history of ever on this side of the pond. Our advice? Wait for the inevitable special edition, which will at least have some interesting making-of featurettes, because when you think about it, without 3D, is there really any reason to want to watch this film ever again?

PS3 firmware upgrade v.3.30 brings Remote Play for VAIO

A wise upgrade from Sony for their VAIO.I think i’m really looking forward to see what they have in future after this v.3.30 upgrade. The PS3 firmware upgrade, which includes support for 3D gaming, will also bring the handy Remote Play service to new Sony VAIO laptops.

Remote Play for PSP allows portable owners to stream content, such as music, videos and pictures from their PlayStation 3 consoles directly to their handheld device for use on the move.
So for those who loves this please try it and tell us here how it goes.

HP AirLife 100 smartbook will be release soon according to official site for US.This 2.2 pounds smartbook will get a lot of attention since it also have a smartphone elements.Below are HP AirLife 100 specification and features:

Few years back if people asked me what broadband is, I will definitely say I don’t know anything about it.Broadband only introduce to public around year 2000. But now a lot of people were using it. The fact is, Internet connection using dial-up modems come first in 1950s.At that time, US Defence Department project to enable university computer system which related to National Security. Now, broadband superseded what dial-up modem internet connection can provide. Broadband is 10 times faster than dial-up , more application available to use such as downloading , online interactive games and many more.

Historically, In Uk broadband Internet Access first provided by a merging group consist a large group of regional cable television and telephone company.In year 2007 more than half of UK homes own a broadband internet access while in US, 18 million household subscribe for broadband. It’s a fast industry with a lot of opportunities.Now with millions of people online, we can see that advertising and retail are growing rapidly from time to time. It’s a trillion dollar business deal.
There are many company now are offering free laptops such as O2, Vodafone, T-Mobile, Orange and Carphone warehouse. All of these free laptop deals from one company to another are varies .So you need to search for the best deals. Some company offers laptop from Dell, Samsung and HP. Now with free laptop offers definitely there will be more broadband users in UK in future. Even here in Malaysia some broadband providers already following the footsteps.
