Go to device manager, right click unknown device,
Choose to update driver, No to connect,
Choose install from a list or specific location, Don’t search, Have disk,

Thank about the information. I already download and install all the driver. All driver install success, but still missing sound. I check at control panel => Sound and Audio Devices, there is still no hardware there. There no sound. Is there anything i can do to using sound hardware in windows xp at compaq cq40 324tu. i manage to install xp till i install the driver.
for the first time reboot(after install the chipset), windows cannot boot normally..it will loop and require disk to boot..how i can fix this?
Help needed! I’m current installing Windows Vista on this particular model and i have downloaded all the drivers from HP website, but still there are 3 unknown items inside the system properties. I have installed the chipset driver, graphics, audio, modem, webcam, wireless LAN,NIC, touchpad, SD card reader. What else could be missing?
