Looking like a ceramic cake knife the blade is moved over the bread like an iron. Butterflies and flowers appear on the upper part of the blade to indicate that what level of ‘toasting’ has been reached. Each user adjusts their timing according to the movement of the patterns. Korean designer Kim Been said the reason she came up with the toaster was: ‘Toast has long been a day starter for us and we all have experiences when we burnt our toast because we could not adjust the time well.
