Pocket Projector Shares Pocket Media
For those who are always looking for the most technologically advanced ways to make others fawn over their children, this mini projector may be just small enough to fit in a large pocket or small purse. Running on AA batteries and displaying all of your SD card-based media (unfortunately there’s no codec list), we wouldn’t recommend it for a home cinema projector, but it looks like a pretty fun novelty for $200. DIY Wii Wheel Leaves Little to be Desired
Why fork over more money to Nintendo for a second Mario Kart Wii Wheel when you can just make one yourself? Sound difficult? It’s not, as long as you know how to tape a controller to a sauce pot lid. For some reason we didn’t spot a similar prototype among Nintendo’s 30 original designs. Which just goes to show you, multitudes of white plastic don’t always make something better. Canon Quietly Releases XL H1S and XL H1A, Lowers H1 Series Price
Today Canon has announced updates to their XL H1 1080i Pro HD camcorder, splitting the line into two offerings: the XL H1S and XL H1A, a more simplistic XL H1A will be offered at a retail price of just $5,999 this July—several thousand less that we saw the original XL H1 priced for. And the H1 classic XL H1S, available this June, will run $8,999.
Blockbuster Announcing a Media Streamer This Month?
While we’ve known that Blockbuster was looking to get into digital distribution since they bought Movielink, according to a very confident Reuters, Blockbuster will be announcing a streaming set top box for customers to download movies directly to their televisions (a la Vudu, Apple TV, etc). CoolPix S52 and S52c: Nikon Updates Its Most Popular Point-and-Shoots
After making waves in the DSLR world, Nikon renewed its push in the point-and-shoot market with the slender feature-loaded camera you see before you. It’s had slightly different model names over the past two years, but its newest incarnation, the $250 9-megapixel 3X-optical-zoom-equipped S52, is pretty slick. You get:
